An ecosystem for a communications hardware manufacturer

For a manufacturing company we designed and built a set of connected systems covering production, daily operations and device servicing. They are in everyday use.

  • STARTING POINT

    Production, stock and service were tracked separately, in spreadsheets and on paper job sheets. Order status was checked by phone and device history was hard to trace.

  • SOLUTION

    We built three connected systems on a shared database: one for production and shipping, one for daily operations and one for service. Single sign-on and a direct link to device firmware complete the set.

  • RESULT

    Every value is entered once and holds for production, stock and service alike. Work orders, serial numbers and service history are traceable down to the individual device.
